Hang Chats
Wearable translation for short, face-to-face conversations, connected to a local hub.
Meet Hang Chats, our wearable translation concept for short, face-to-face conversations. Connected to a local hub, it is being designed to help people speak their own language and understand one another without relying on an internet connection during conversations.
Offline conversation is a design requirement we aim to validate. Specifications are not yet published. Possible employment benefits are an ambition. We do not promise jobs, reduced language requirements or replacement of mandatory training.
Care
A carer and an older person can have a short, relaxed exchange about a drink or comfort. In this proposed scene the older person does not need to wear equipment. A speaker option is subject to design validation. Care is an application of Hang Chats, not a separate product.
Construction and maintenance
A supervisor speaking Italian and a worker speaking Hindi check the plan together in a safe area. Each hears the other in their own language, through a local wireless connection to the hub on the supervisor's belt.
Hospitality
A hotel supervisor and a housekeeper agree which room to prepare. Both use the same wearable design.
Agriculture and wider opportunity
A supervisor and an agricultural worker agree where to place harvested produce. Our ambition is to help people contribute across language barriers.

- Offline conversation - A design requirement we aim to validate, not a proven claim.
